This Flick In Brief

A tongue-in-cheek take on the original Star Trek series, Galaxy Quest follows the cast of a popular television show as they grudgingly ease into their post-cancellation lives. Between making appearances in strip malls and fan festivals, the cast squabbles and fights amongst themselves, until a strange set of fans gives them reason to unite together and relive their glory days of saving the galaxy.

While not hilarious, Galaxy Quest's total sillines is pure fun that appeals to all ages. Tim Allen easily delivers his best role, as his hammy real-life personality fits perfectly with the egocentric tendencies of a once-famous starship captain on the skids.
