This Flick In Brief

Actor Christopher Walken takes center stage as the archangel Gabriel, determined to continue his stalemated war against Heaven and stepping over as many 'talking monkeys' (humans) as necessary to do it. His counterpart Simon (Eric Stolz) is equally determined to stop him, and even Lucifer (Viggo Mortensen) makes an appearance to turn the tides of war.

A movie utilizing the best elements of horror, set on a foundation of religious fables and imagery, combined with Walken's innate sense of black humor and brilliant delivery, The Prophecy is an all-around solid movie that, while perhaps not classic, is certainly memorable and worth watching.
