This Series In Brief

Developed by the BBC and narrated by famed Shakespearean actor Kenneth Branagh, Walking With Dinosaurs is fun, funny, and educational. Using great computer-generated imagery and animatronics, the series covers dinosaurs like a nature documentary, as opposed to using fossils and paleontologist interviews for its content. An added bonus is the good-natured narration of Branagh, who has no qualms about pouring on his dramatic talents to full effect. The result is an award-winning series that's fun to watch, even repeatedly.

Walking With Dinosaurs scored the highest ratings for a cable series ever when it aired on the Discovery Channel, and at the time was the most expensive documentary ever produced.
