iPhone - Must Have Apps

What: App Miner

What it does: Scans the App Store for discounted, on sale, or temporary free apps


What: Quick Tip

What it does: What it says - quickly tallies up restaurant tips. Useful if you suck at math like Rey.


What: Urbanspoon

What it does: Dials in on places to eat, sorted however you like - location, type, price, etc.


What: Package Tracker Lite

What it does: Tracks your DHL, FedEx, and UPS package by entering the tracking number.


What: Bump

What it does: Although slightly homoriffic, allows you to transfer a contact's full information to another iPhone just by bumping them together.


What: Shazam

What it does: Listens to and then identifies songs being played around you, then links where you can get it from iTunes if you want it.


What: Fail Maker

What it does: Lets you throw a quick caption directly on a picture, such as the ever-famous 'FAIL'

What: LiveCams

What it does: Lets you dial into your own security or web cameras, plus a whole bunch of cameras around the world.


What: Emergency Radio

What it does: A police, fire, and emergency radio scanner for the iPhone.


What: iPunchclock

What it does: A very handy app if you're a consultant or do a lot of on-site work and have to track your time.


Cydia Apps (Available Only By Jailbreaking):

What: iBlacklist

What it does: Manages incoming calls and allows you to blacklist numbers to where they go straight to voicemail or don't ring at all.


What: Winterboard

What it does: Allows you to modify the overall look of the iPhone.


What: Open SSH

What it does: Only for the technically ambitious - allows you to FTP into your phone to transfer files easily
